Syedna Ali ibne Hanzalah lived in Sana'a, where he was greatly respected by it's rulers for his erudition and piety. He used to visit Zimarmar, the extremely fortified fortress on the top of steeply rising hill in the outskirt of Sana'a, where sultans of Banu Hatim were abiding. Sultans of Banu Hatim were the obedient followers of Syedna. After some time, Syedna Ali (R. A) settled in Zimarmar. He remained busy with the guidance of Moomineen, with the spread of Ilm of Aale Mohammed and compiled number of Rasaeel in it. He was very compassionate to Moomineen and helpful to the restitutes.
In 626 AH, the rule of Banu Ayub terminated and they were followed by Banu Gassan or Banu Rasool.
During this period, Eastern part of Muslim worlds, (regions of central Asia and Persia), was facing the ruthless attacks of Mongols. Persia fell in the hand of Mongols in 1218 AD, a number of it's cities were destroyed and thousands of it's inhabitants were slaughtered Western part of Muslim world.
Syria, Palestine, and Eygpt were facing the attacks of Crusaders. Philip II Augustus, Louis VIII (d:1226), and Louis IX (leader of 7th crusade) were French Kings.
