When Syedna Noor Mohammed Nooruddin (R. A) ascended onto the throne of Dawat, Jam Lakha demaned money. Enemies of Dawat were also attempting to harm him. Syedna went to Morbi secretly at night. When the Jam learnt this, he sent his cavalry to arrest him, but, Allah saved his Dai. Raja Kayaji of Morbi was very kind to Syedna Nooruddin (S. A). When the Jam of Nagar asked him with certain threat to send back Syedna to him, Kayaji refused plainly to do so.
After some time, the Jam died with an admonitory death. His successor, Raj Singhwas very grateful to Syedna (R. A) as Syedna had saved his life when he was given poison by his step-mother. Jam Raj Singh requested earnestly to Syedna Nooruddin (R. A) to come to Nagar. Syedna (R. A) accepted his request and returned to Jamnagar. On his arrival to Nagar, Syedna (R. A) was received by the Jam, his ministers, army, and Moomineen outside the city. He entered the city with pomp and eclats. Thence, the Jam remained very cordial to Syedna (R. A).
After some time, Raj Singh was killed by his brother and the new Jam was hostile to Syedna (R. A). So, Syedna (R. A) did Hijrat to Mandvi and settled there.
Syedna Nooruddin (R. A) was very compassionate to Talabat ul Ilm. He used to pay his personal attention for their well-being. He organised the system of their Imtihan. He started the tradition of 'Ita'am ut Ta'am' on the Urs of Doat Kiram. It is narrated that he used to give 'Sata' (a form ofsweets) to children who came to Masjid in order to induce them to come there for Salat. When Syedna Nooruddin was in Mandvi, the Jamnagar, Halar, Ahmedabad and areas around these cities suffered with drought. Moomineen suffered much due to the cruelty of rulers during this plight. Syedna sent carts of grains and foodstuff to Nagar and Halar, and ordered Al-Shaikh Qasim to spend generously for the relief of Moomineen in Ahmedabad. During the period of Syedna Nooruddin (R. A), war of succession occured between the four sons of Bahaddur Shah. Shah Alam, Jahan Dar Shah, and Farrukh Shair were Mughal rulers. In 1715, Louis xiv of France died and succeeded by his great grand son Louis xv (at the age of 5) who remained upto 1774. In 1718, England declared war on Spain.
